Project Manager
<p>Our <strong>DC-based agency client</strong> is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented <strong>Project Manager, Engagement Services</strong> to join their team on a <strong>full-time, remote basis (U.S.-based with occasional travel to Washington, D.C.)</strong>. This role supports the delivery of integrated communications, marketing, and engagement projects focused on education and social impact initiatives.</p><p>The ideal candidate brings strong project management experience within communications or marketing environments, along with excellent organizational skills and a passion for mission-driven work. This individual will manage multiple projects simultaneously, support hands-on execution, and ensure budgets, timelines, and deliverables remain on track.</p><p>This role operates in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment, working closely with strategists, writers, designers, and digital teams to deliver high-quality campaign outcomes for a diverse portfolio of clients, including nonprofits, foundations, education institutions, and other purpose-driven organizations.</p><p><br></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p>Project Management</p><ul><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects and manage client expectations</li><li>Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and scopes of work</li><li>Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to ensure efficient execution</li><li>Lead project meetings and ensure stakeholder alignment</li><li>Oversee quality control of deliverables and ensure compliance with requirements</li><li>Track budgets, monitor expenses, and proactively flag risks or overruns</li><li>Provide regular status updates and financial reporting</li></ul><p>Project & Content Support</p><ul><li>Support development of communications and campaign strategies across digital, PR, and content initiatives</li><li>Conduct research to inform project direction and recommendations</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated marketing outputs</li><li>Support creation of content including press releases, thought leadership pieces, social media plans, email campaigns, blog content, and web copy</li></ul><p>Client & Relationship Management</p><ul><li>Build and maintain strong client relationships and ensure alignment with project goals</li><li>Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders</li><li>Support relationships with vendors, consultants, and partners</li></ul><p><br></p>
<p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>3+ years of project management experience in communications, marketing, or public relations</li><li>Agency experience strongly preferred</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field</li><li>Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects and budgets simultaneously</li><li>Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana or similar)</li><li>Highly organized, detail-oriented, and solutions-oriented mindset</li><li>Familiarity with PK–workforce education or social impact space is a plus</li></ul><p><br></p>
