Project Assistant
We are looking for a Project Assistant to support a contract-based translation initiative for a non-profit organization in Washington, District of Columbia. This Contract position will help coordinate Amharic document translation activities, keep project tasks on schedule, and ensure materials are organized and processed accurately. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing timelines, handling document workflows, and providing dependable administrative support in a project-driven environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Coordinate day-to-day activities for the Amharic translation project to keep deliverables moving according to established timelines.<br>• Track milestones, deadlines, and priorities while providing regular updates on project status and outstanding tasks.<br>• Organize, scan, and maintain project documents so materials remain accurate, accessible, and properly filed.<br>• Support scheduling efforts by helping align resources, timelines, and task dependencies across project activities.<br>• Assist with project management administration, including documentation, progress tracking, and follow-up on action items.<br>• Work with internal stakeholders to facilitate the timely review and completion of translated documents.<br>• Help maintain quality and consistency across document handling processes throughout the life of the assignment.
• Experience supporting projects in an administrative or coordination capacity.<br>• Ability to manage timelines and keep multiple tasks organized in a deadline-driven setting.<br>• Familiarity with document scanning, file organization, and records maintenance.<br>• Working knowledge of project management practices and progress tracking.<br>• Experience assisting with scheduling or coordinating task plans across moving priorities.<br>• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle documentation with accuracy.<br>• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
