We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee activities at a dynamic service yard in Suffolk, Virginia. This role is ideal for someone who excels at managing heavy equipment services, optimizing workflows, and leading a talented team. The successful candidate will focus on maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Direct and manage day-to-day site operations, including scheduling, installations, and workflow coordination.<br>• Monitor and achieve production goals for equipment handling, service efficiency, and storage.<br>• Oversee staffing, training, and development initiatives for technicians and yard personnel.<br>• Implement strategies to improve operational processes and reduce downtime.<br>• Ensure all work adheres to technical specifications and safety regulations.<br>• Organize and maintain inventory, site layout, and equipment readiness.<br>• Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational effectiveness.<br>• Manage cost controls to align with financial performance targets.<br>• Support operations at other sites when needed and assist with the setup of new locations.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy equipment service or operational management.<br>• Comprehensive understanding of machinery and attachment installation processes.<br>• Demonstrated leadership skills with proven success in team development.<br>• Ability to interpret technical manuals and enforce quality standards.<br>• Familiarity with job-tracking systems; NetSuite experience is advantageous.<br>• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel occasionally.<br>• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.<br>• Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
