<p>We are looking for an experienced <strong>Controller/VP Finance</strong> to join a hospitality organization in Pinehurst, NC area on a <strong>contract</strong> basis. This contract opportunity is ideal for a hands-on accounting leader who can oversee daily financial operations while providing strong guidance to a small team. The role will play a key part in maintaining accurate reporting, supporting close activities, and delivering financial insight that helps drive sound business decisions. This contract Controller position will be <strong>onsite</strong> in the Pinehurst area and does have the <strong>potential to convert to a permanent </strong>position. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>• Oversee the full scope of daily accounting activities to ensure timely and accurate financial operations.</p><p>• Lead the month-end close process, including review of entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.</p><p>• Prepare and analyze financial reports to provide clear visibility into business performance and operating trends.</p><p>• Supervise and support two direct reports, setting priorities and promoting accountability across the accounting function.</p><p>• Perform detailed financial analysis to identify variances, risks, and opportunities for improvement.</p><p>• Maintain the integrity of accounting records and internal controls across routine transactions and reporting processes.</p><p>• Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to manage accounting workflows, reporting, and data accuracy.</p><p>• Partner with operational leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and other finance-related business needs.</p>

<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><p>• Proven experience leading day-to-day accounting operations in a Controller or similar finance leadership role.</p><p>• Strong background in month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliation processes.</p><p>• Demonstrated ability to perform financial analysis and translate findings into actionable recommendations.</p><p>• Experience managing or mentoring accounting staff, including direct oversight of team members.</p><p>• Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or closely related ERP platforms.</p><p>• Hands-on approach with the ability to work effectively in both strategic and transactional accounting responsibilities.</p><p>• Industry experience in hospitality or a similarly fast-paced service environment is preferred.</p>
