We are looking for a dedicated Switchboard Operator to join our team in Seattle, Washington. In this role, you will handle high-volume communication tasks within a hospital environment, ensuring efficiency and attention to detail in every interaction. This is a long-term contract position offering a unique opportunity to contribute to critical hospital operations. Responsibilities: • Manage and transfer a high volume of incoming calls across the hospital system with care and accuracy. • Promptly activate and announce emergency codes, such as medical emergencies or fire alarms, with precision and urgency. • Respond effectively to high-pressure situations, including initiating lockdown procedures as needed. • Create and manage communication pages using a ticket-based system to ensure timely delivery. • Support patient communication needs, including calls placed through bedside systems. • Deliver clear and detail-oriented overhead announcements to maintain smooth hospital operations. • Adhere to established emergency protocols and hospital procedures, ensuring consistent and accurate communication.

• Proven experience operating multi-line switchboards in a detail-oriented environment. • Familiarity with handling emergency communication systems, including hospital-specific codes. • Ability to manage high-stress situations while maintaining composure and accuracy. • Strong communication skills with a focus on clarity and effective interaction. • Knowledge of hospital inpatient communication systems is a plus. • Proficiency in creating and managing communication tickets. • Understanding of emergency services and related procedures.
