Customer Service Representative
We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to support daily front-line operations in an ambulatory clinic in Seattle, Washington. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping patients, managing high-volume communication, and keeping appointment workflows organized. The person in this role will create a welcoming experience for patients while coordinating administrative tasks that contribute to efficient, safe, and responsive care.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Respond to incoming patient calls promptly, provide clear assistance, and direct inquiries to the appropriate clinical or administrative contacts.<br>• Arrange, confirm, and adjust appointments while maintaining accurate daily schedules for providers and clinic operations.<br>• Welcome patients during visits, guide them through check-in and rooming activities, and help ensure a respectful and comfortable experience.<br>• Enter and update service-related information with accuracy, including order details and other required documentation.<br>• Support clinic revenue-related processes by collecting and processing payments in accordance with established procedures.<br>• Share test result information as directed and address routine patient questions with professionalism, empathy, and discretion.<br>• Coordinate with physicians, managers, and support staff to keep patient flow organized and resolve scheduling or service issues efficiently.<br>• Place outbound calls when needed for appointment follow-up, scheduling updates, reminders, or additional patient support.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.<br>• At least six months of experience in customer service, a medical office, or a related healthcare setting; an associate degree may be considered in place of experience.<br>• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, providers, managers, and clinic staff.<br>• Demonstrated ability to stay organized, manage multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a busy environment.<br>• Detail-oriented, positive, and service-focused approach to patient and team interactions.<br>• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with limited day-to-day supervision.<br>• Comfortable handling inbound and outbound calls, customer service tasks, and order entry responsibilities.<br>• Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
