Staff Accountant
<p>Robert Half Seattle is seeking an onsite Staff Accountant for a nonprofit organization in South Seattle.</p><p><br></p><p>This is a fantastic opportunity to join a mission-driven team dedicated to making a positive impact in the community. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent attention to detail and experience working in nonprofit environments.</p><p><br></p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records</li><li>Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts</li><li>Assist with month-end and year-end close processes</li><li>Manage and track fixed assets and depreciation schedules</li><li>Prepare journal entries and support financial reporting</li><li>Collaborate with program managers to ensure proper expense coding and budget alignment</li><li>Support annual audit preparation and respond to auditor inquiries</li><li>Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies</li></ul><p><br></p>
<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)</li><li>Experience with MIP Abila accounting software strongly preferred</li><li>Knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles and fund accounting</li><li>Familiarity with managing fixed assets and related accounting practices</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field</li><li>1+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting</li><li>Strong organizational and communication skills</li></ul><p><strong>Location:</strong> Fully onsite in South Seattle</p>
