Controller
We are partnering with a large, complex logistics organization seeking an experienced Controller-level consultant to provide interim support for several months. This engagement is especially well-suited for a hands-on accounting detail oriented who has extensive experience with consolidations. The organization operates across a large, multi-entity structure (20+ entities), including domestic and international operations. This role is hybrid (1-2 days/week onsite) in Seattle. <br> Key Responsibilities Oversee general ledger accounting activities, including month-end close processes Review and analyze balance sheet and income statement activity to ensure accuracy and completeness Prepare and post journal entries, including consolidation and intercompany entries Manage accounting for a complex entity structure, including distributions and contributions flowing throughout the organization Support consolidations across 20+ legal entities, ensuring consistency and alignment across domestic and international operations Collaborate with international accounting teams to reconcile activity and ensure financial reporting matches across regions Provide post–ERP go-live support, including system cleanup, process refinement, and analytical review Assist with improving controls, documentation, and workflows in a newly implemented ERP environment Serve as a trusted accounting leader and problem-solver during a period of transition Ideal Background Controller or Senior Accounting Leader with strong hands-on GL and close experience Proven experience working in multi-entity and consolidation-heavy environments Prior involvement in ERP implementations or post–go-live stabilization strongly preferred (IFS experience a plus) Comfortable working across international entities and time zones Detail-oriented, analytical, and adaptable—able to step in quickly and add value
• Proven experience in financial reporting, including internal and external reporting. • Familiarity with systems such as Power BI and advanced Excel formulas. • Strong understanding of auditing principles and practices. • Ability to work collaboratively with business stakeholders to deliver tailored reporting solutions. • Experience with financial systems and processes, including data extraction and analysis. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Understanding of automation and process improvement techniques.
