<p>We are seeking a detail-oriented <strong>Data Analyst</strong> for a <strong>contract-to-hire</strong> opportunity. This role will support critical finance and operational processes by performing <strong>data cleaning, mapping, validation, reconciliations, and billing support during the close process</strong>. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with large data sets, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring data accuracy across systems. This role is hybrid with 1-2 days onsite in office.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Clean, organize, and maintain large volumes of data to ensure accuracy and consistency. </li><li>Perform <strong>data mapping</strong> between systems and validate data conversions, transformations, and integrations. </li><li>Review and validate data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with business rules. </li><li>Conduct <strong>reconciliations</strong> across multiple data sources and investigate discrepancies. </li><li>Support <strong>billing activities during month-end close</strong>, including validating billing data and resolving exceptions. </li><li>Partner with finance, operations, and business teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting. </li><li>Analyze data issues, identify root causes, and recommend process improvements. </li><li>Prepare reports and documentation related to reconciliations, billing, and data quality. </li><li>Assist with ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed. <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or a related field preferred. </li><li>2+ years of experience in data analysis, data validation, reconciliations, billing, or related work. </li><li>Strong Excel skills and experience working with large datasets. </li><li>Experience with SQL, ERP systems, or reporting tools is preferred. </li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies quickly. </li><li>Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment, especially during month-end close. </li><li>Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. </li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience supporting <strong>finance or accounting operations</strong>. Based on general knowledge.</li><li>Familiarity with <strong>SQL, Power BI, SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Workday, QuickBooks, Microsoft D365, or Python</strong> can be valuable for data-focused and finance-related environments.</li><li>Background in billing, close support, or financial reconciliations is a plus. </li></ul><p><br></p>
