No exceptions ***</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Keys to the Role:</strong></p><ul><li>Deep understanding of the .net ecosystem</li><li>Experience with distributed systems</li><li>Experience with high volume throughput</li><li>Performance analysis</li><li>Experience troubleshooting an enterprise level application</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Functions: </strong></p><ol><li>Take a technical leadership role in building and scaling national-scale healthcare data exchange systems</li><li>Deliver extremely reliable, scalable, and observable software capable of supporting massive transaction volumes</li><li>Lead architecture and implementation of highly scalable, API-driven systems powering healthcare data exchange at scale</li><li>Provide practical, balanced technical guidance—considering both engineering best practices and business priorities</li><li>Guide design decisions on fault tolerance, throughput optimization, and system resilience</li><li>Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements to maintain quality while accelerating delivery</li><li>Collaborate with product and implementation teams to shape technical execution</li><li>Document technical designs, workflows, and release notes for cross-team and customer consumption</li><li>Participate in and lead design and code reviews</li><li>Mentor engineers through pairing, design discussions, and pull request feedback</li></ol>

<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>10+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on building large-scale, high-throughput distributed systems</li><li>Have a balanced, pragmatic approach—able to apply the right level of engineering rigor to meet business needs</li><li>Experience designing and scaling API-driven systems with extreme reliability and throughput requirements</li><li>Experience with event-driven, queue-backed, and asynchronous processing architectures</li><li>Skilled in observability practices including distributed tracing, metrics, and log aggregation</li><li>Strong background in Microsoft SQL Server and experience optimizing relational data access</li><li>Familiar with other database technologies (NoSQL, distributed databases)</li><li>Deep experience with the .NET ecosystem, with exposure to other technical stacks as a plus</li><li>Familiar with containerization, cloud-native architectures, and Kubernetes deployment patterns</li><li>Strong architectural skills with a focus on reliability, scalability, and performance</li><li>Proven ability to lead architecture across multiple systems and teams</li><li>Experience writing and optimizing parallel and asynchronous code</li><li>Strong knowledge of IHE profiles, FHIR, and other healthcare data exchange standards is <strong>a significant plus</strong></li><li>Front-end development experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks is <strong>a plus but not required</strong></li><li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical field</li></ul><p><br></p>
