Construction Office Manager
We are looking for a detail-oriented Construction Office Manager to support accounting and administrative operations for a busy team in Richmond, Virginia. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who combines strong bookkeeping knowledge with the ability to keep office workflows organized and accurate. The role will focus on financial recordkeeping, invoice processing, and day-to-day coordination using QuickBooks Desktop and construction-related systems.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee daily office and accounting support activities to help maintain efficient operations across the construction team.<br>• Process vendor invoices, assign proper coding, and prepare accounts payable items for timely and accurate payment.<br>• Manage customer billing and monitor accounts receivable to support consistent cash flow and prompt collections.<br>• Reconcile bank statements and financial records to ensure account balances are accurate and up to date.<br>• Enter and maintain financial transactions in QuickBooks Desktop with a high level of precision and organization.<br>• Review approved timesheets and assist with related payroll or job cost documentation as needed.<br>• Support project and office tracking activities through Buildertrend and other internal tools used by the team.<br>• Assist with record updates, reporting, and administrative tasks that contribute to smooth accounting operations.
• Experience handling both accounts payable and accounts receivable responsibilities in an office or accounting support role.<br>• Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop, including data entry, transaction management, and general bookkeeping tasks.<br>• Ability to code invoices accurately and maintain organized financial documentation.<br>• Experience completing bank reconciliations and identifying discrepancies when they arise.<br>• Familiarity with reviewing approved timesheets and supporting payroll-related administrative processes.<br>• Working knowledge of Buildertrend or similar construction management software is preferred.<br>• Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
