Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst
We are looking for a Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst to join a growing support environment in Raleigh, North Carolina. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who combines strong technical troubleshooting skills with a customer-first mindset and enjoys helping users resolve hardware, software, and point-of-sale issues. The role supports a confidential client in the hardware space and offers the opportunity to contribute to a newly expanding team focused on responsive service, user education, and continuous improvement.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Deliver timely assistance to customers by diagnosing and resolving desktop, hardware, software, and point-of-sale support issues across multiple channels.<br>• Guide users through product functionality and recommended usage by leading virtual training sessions, webinars, and one-on-one support interactions.<br>• Monitor service tickets from intake through closure, provide clear status updates, and ensure unresolved matters receive appropriate follow-up.<br>• Work closely with cross-functional partners in customer success, product, and development to escalate issues, share client feedback, and support service improvements.<br>• Create and update customer-facing materials such as knowledge articles, FAQs, training guides, and other support documentation.<br>• Test new features, tools, and releases in order to identify issues early and provide practical feedback from a support perspective.<br>• Maintain current knowledge of supported products, services, and relevant industry practices to deliver accurate guidance to customers.<br>• Provide attentive, courteous service in a high-volume support setting while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
• 3+ years of experience in help desk, desktop support, technical support, or customer service roles with regular end-user interaction.<br>• Hands-on ability to troubleshoot both hardware and software issues, including experience supporting point-of-sale devices or terminals.<br>• Strong background in customer support or call center environments, including handling inbound requests and managing multiple priorities.<br>• Proficiency with ticketing systems and common workplace tools such as Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Teams, and Slack.<br>• Clear communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users in a clear and detail-oriented manner.<br>• Experience documenting issues, writing support content, and maintaining accurate service records.<br>• Ability to work effectively on a collaborative team while remaining organized, dependable, and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
