We are looking for an experienced Audit Manager to lead and execute performance audits that evaluate program efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance for a public sector organization in the Raleigh/Durham, NC area. This contract role will play a critical part in driving accountability, identifying process improvements, and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering a hybrid work environment and the ability to make a meaningful impact within the public sector. Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or a related discipline.• At least 5 years of audit experience, including responsibility for leading engagements or supervising audit work.• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues, solve problems, and develop clear written audit documentation.• Strong communication skills with the ability to present information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.• Experience in government, public sector, or other highly regulated environments is preferred.• Certifications such as CISA or similar audit-related credentials are preferred.
