Application Support Engineer
<p>We’re looking for a go-to <strong>IT Support &amp; Application Support Specialist</strong> to join our team in Portland, Maine—someone who can fix issues quickly and calmly explain (for the third time) why restarting actually <em>does</em> help. A big part of this role is owning and supporting our <strong>core business application</strong>, so if you like being the expert everyone relies on, you’ll fit right in.</p><p><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></p><ul><li>Provide day-to-day <strong>IT support</strong> for internal users (hardware, software, network)</li><li>Serve as the primary support contact for our <strong>core business application</strong></li><li>Troubleshoot complex application issues and <strong>coordinate with vendors</strong> to drive resolutions</li><li>Manage system access, user accounts, and application configurations</li><li>Support onboarding/offboarding (yes, you’ll be popular on day one)</li><li>Document issues and fixes—future-you will be grateful</li><li>Partner across teams to improve system performance and user experience</li></ul><p><strong>Why Join Us:</strong></p><ul><li>Be the go-to expert for a <strong>mission-critical application</strong></li><li>Tight-knit team that values IT (and submits mostly helpful tickets)</li><li>Stable, growing organization with a strong local presence</li></ul><p>If you enjoy solving problems, working directly with users and vendors, and owning a platform that keeps the business running—we’d love to hear from you.</p>
<p><strong>What You Bring:</strong></p><ul><li>2+ years of <strong>IT support experience</strong></li><li>Hands-on experience supporting a <strong>core business platform</strong> (ERP, CRM, or SaaS)</li><li>Experience working with <strong>third-party vendors</strong> to troubleshoot and resolve issues</li><li>Strong skills with <strong>Windows, O365, and basic networking</strong></li><li>Excellent communication and a “translator” mindset between users and technical teams</li><li>Ability to work <strong>on-site in Portland, ME</strong></li></ul><p><br></p>
