DevOps Engineer
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to support long-term contract opportunities in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in cloud-focused environments and enjoys improving how applications are built, deployed, and maintained. You will contribute to automation, infrastructure reliability, and modern delivery practices across containerized and cloud-based platforms. The position offers the chance to work closely with technical teams on scalable solutions that strengthen operational performance.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Create and manage cloud infrastructure solutions across AWS and Azure environments with an emphasis on stability, scalability, and efficiency.<br>• Develop and enhance automated delivery workflows that streamline code integration, testing, and production releases.<br>• Build infrastructure through code using tools such as Terraform and similar automation frameworks to ensure consistency across environments.<br>• Administer containerized platforms using Docker and Kubernetes to support application deployment and orchestration needs.<br>• Improve operational processes by automating routine infrastructure, deployment, and support tasks wherever possible.<br>• Strengthen system performance by contributing to availability, resiliency, and capacity planning efforts for applications and platforms.<br>• Establish and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities that improve visibility into system health and service behavior.<br>• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security stakeholders to refine deployment standards and operational best practices.
• At least 3 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, site reliability, infrastructure automation, or a closely related discipline.<br>• Hands-on background supporting cloud platforms, including strong experience with AWS and/or Azure.<br>• Practical experience using Terraform or another infrastructure-as-code solution to provision and manage environments.<br>• Knowledge of container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes, in production or enterprise settings.<br>• Experience working with CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab, or comparable tools.<br>• Scripting ability in one or more languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation and operational tasks.<br>• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools used to track application and infrastructure performance.<br>• Understanding of Linux systems and core networking concepts is strongly preferred.
