Default Analyst-Foreclosure
We are looking for an experienced Default Analyst-Foreclosure to support residential mortgage foreclosure activity for a Contract position based in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will oversee case progress, verify that milestones are completed accurately and on schedule, and work closely with internal teams and external legal partners to keep files moving in line with regulatory and investor expectations. This opportunity is well suited to someone with a strong background in mortgage servicing who can manage foreclosure timelines, documentation, and proceeds handling with precision.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Monitor an assigned foreclosure portfolio each day, confirm required actions are completed on time, and address overdue items to keep files progressing appropriately.<br>• Track upcoming deadlines and case events, secure needed approvals, and verify that all dates and status updates are entered correctly in servicing and vendor systems.<br>• Coordinate with foreclosure attorneys and trustees through designated tracking platforms to resolve delays, obtain updates, and respond to outstanding questions.<br>• Use internal servicing tools, records systems, and vendor management applications to maintain accurate file status and support effective pipeline oversight.<br>• Review legal fees, costs, and related foreclosure expenses to ensure charges align with applicable investor and agency allowance schedules.<br>• Examine scheduled foreclosure sales in advance to confirm all prerequisites, documentation, and timeline requirements have been satisfied before the sale date.<br>• Finalize post-sale activities by recording outcomes, managing follow-up related to proceeds, and supporting completion of judicial and non-judicial foreclosure actions.<br>• Prepare and submit fund posting instructions within established service levels, ensuring received proceeds or payments are applied accurately and without delay.<br>• Contribute to additional assignments or process-related projects as business needs require.
• At least 5 years of hands-on foreclosure experience within mortgage servicing, banking, or a related financial services environment.<br>• Strong knowledge of the full foreclosure lifecycle, including key distinctions between judicial and non-judicial processes.<br>• Working understanding of investor, agency, and government foreclosure guidelines, including applicable compliance standards.<br>• Proficiency with mortgage servicing systems, vendor tracking tools, and general computer applications used to manage case activity and documentation.<br>• Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across internal teams and external partners.<br>• Strong attention to detail, sound organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Ability to follow mortgage servicing procedures accurately while maintaining quality and timeliness across a high-volume workload.<br>• High school diploma or equivalent required.
