Customer Service Representative
We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to support a graduation event in New York. This Contract position is ideal for someone who is experienced, attentive, and comfortable guiding large groups in a fast-paced setting. The person in this role will help create an organized and positive experience for graduates while assisting the event team with on-site coordination and customer-facing support.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Guide graduates through staging and photo areas, ensuring lines move efficiently and participants know where to report.<br>• Support photographers by preparing graduates for their moment on stage, including helping correct minor appearance details such as misplaced tassels.<br>• Monitor attendee flow and maintain order in waiting areas so the event remains smooth and well organized.<br>• Verify participant names against event lists as graduates are called forward.<br>• Hand out and gather name cards and other event materials needed during the ceremony.<br>• Share business cards or related information with graduates and guests as directed by the event team.<br>• Assist with arranging supplies and equipment before the event begins and help pack up materials once activities conclude.
• Previous customer service experience with a detail-oriented and approachable demeanor.<br>• Ability to interact confidently and courteously with graduates, guests, photographers, and event staff.<br>• Comfortable working in a busy event environment that requires standing, movement, and quick coordination.<br>• Strong attention to detail when checking names, managing lines, and handling event materials.<br>• Dependable time management skills and the ability to follow instructions on-site.<br>• Appropriate business attire is required, including black slacks, a neutral button-up shirt or conservative blouse, and dress shoes with closed toes.<br>• Ability to support event handling tasks such as setup, breakdown, and material distribution.
