<p>Our client is seeking a Software Architect, Data Platform to lead the design, integrity, and scalability of a high-volume data platform. This is a hands-on architecture and engineering leadership role focused on solving complex data challenges, including telemetry ingestion, data accuracy, system reconciliation, and large-scale platform reliability.</p><p> </p><p> The ideal candidate is a data-first architect with deep expertise in relational database design, SQL performance optimization, and data correctness who has expanded into cloud-native application architecture and engineering leadership.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p>·      Own the architecture, quality, and integrity of the organization&#39;s data platform.</p><p>·      Design and optimize relational and time-series data models supporting high-volume telemetry data.</p><p>·      Lead a distributed engineering team while driving best practices in code quality, testing, observability, and operational excellence.</p><p>·      Establish technical architecture direction across backend services, data products, and customer-facing applications.</p><p>·      Develop and maintain production-grade backend services using modern cloud technologies.</p><p>·      Evaluate technology, storage, and build-versus-buy decisions based on scalability, reliability, maintainability, and cost.</p><p>·      Lead technical design efforts for new platform capabilities, integrations, and data-driven products.</p><p>·      Partner closely with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.</p><p>·      Mentor engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence.</p>

<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><p><strong>Data &amp; Database Expertise </strong></p><p>·      Strong experience designing and optimizing relational database solutions in environments such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.</p><p>·      Expertise with:</p><p>o  Data modeling</p><p>o  Query tuning and execution plans</p><p>o  Indexing strategies</p><p>o  Partitioning techniques</p><p>o  Performance optimization</p><p>·      Experience validating and reconciling data against external source systems to ensure accuracy and consistency.</p><p>·      Knowledge of high-volume operational or time-series data environments.</p><p> Strong understanding of data pipeline reliability, including idempotency, retry handling, monitoring, and incident response.</p><p><strong>Architecture &amp; Engineering Leadership</strong></p><p>·      3+ years of experience in a senior technical leadership role such as Architect, Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, or Engineering Lead.</p><p>·      Proven experience mentoring engineers and leading distributed teams.</p><p>·      Strong track record of making architecture decisions and guiding technical direction.</p><p>·      Experience driving engineering quality standards and operational maturity.</p><p><strong>Cloud &amp; Application Development</strong></p><p>·      5+ years of experience building production backend, platform, cloud, or data systems.</p><p>·      Strong experience with AWS, including:</p><p>o  Lambda</p><p>o  S3</p><p>o  SNS/SQS</p><p>o  DynamoDB</p><p>o  IAM</p><p>o  VPC</p><p>o  Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation/CDK)</p><p>·      Hands-on experience developing backend services in TypeScript/Node.js or similar technologies.</p><p>·      Ability to review and evaluate modern frontend architectures built with React or Next.js.</p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><p>·      PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB experience.</p><p>·      Experience with time-series databases such as InfluxDB or ClickHouse.</p><p>·      IoT, telemetry, utility, water, energy, or sensor-driven platforms.</p><p>·      Experience with data lakes and analytics tools such as Athena, Glue, and Parquet.</p><p>·      Knowledge of Docker, ECS/Fargate, ECR, and CI/CD pipelines.</p><p>·      Background in anomaly detection, signal processing, or advanced analytics.</p>
