Administrative Assistant
<p>We are seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant to join a nonprofit organization in Miami, Florida. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers a meaningful chance to support impactful events and day-to-day operations. If you are detail-oriented, culturally sensitive, and have strong organizational skills, this role provides the opportunity to contribute to a vital cause.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Manage accounts payable, bookkeeping tasks, and financial coding with precision.</p><p>• Coordinate events, including logistics, food orders, and transportation arrangements.</p><p>• Design marketing materials for campaigns and oversee scheduling on platforms like Zoom and Canva.</p><p>• Support grant writing efforts and assist with reporting requirements.</p><p>• Utilize AI tools to streamline administrative processes and enhance efficiency.</p><p>• Maintain and update organizational social media accounts as needed.</p><p>• Facilitate committee meetings by preparing agendas and ensuring smooth operations.</p><p>• Provide assistance during three major annual events held in April, May, and November.</p><p>• Handle general administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and responding to email inquiries</p>
• Proven experience in administrative and operational roles.<br>• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.<br>• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with comfort in email correspondence and inbound/outbound calls.<br>• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.<br>• Familiarity with platforms like Canva and Zoom for marketing and event coordination.<br>• Open-minded, culturally sensitive, and able to work with diverse age groups.<br>• Experience in grant writing or nonprofit operations is an advantage.<br>• Bilingual skills (Spanish/English or other) are desirable but not mandatory.
