Eligibility Admin
We are looking for an organized Eligibility Admin to support application processing and case review activities in Merced, California. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can balance accuracy, professionalism, and timely follow-through while working with sensitive information. The person in this role will help evaluate applicant records, maintain reliable documentation, and provide clear communication throughout the eligibility process.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Examine applications and supporting records to confirm all required information has been submitted and documented correctly.<br>• Assess applicant status against established program rules, policies, and regulatory standards to determine eligibility outcomes.<br>• Confirm details such as income, residency, employment, insurance, and other qualifying criteria using available documentation and verification methods.<br>• Enter new case information and maintain accurate updates within internal databases and case management tools.<br>• Notify applicants of approvals, denials, or pending items and clearly explain next steps or additional documentation needed.<br>• Safeguard confidential files and handle records in accordance with privacy and compliance requirements.<br>• Coordinate with internal teams, external agencies, providers, and case workers to obtain information and support case resolution.<br>• Track renewals, recertifications, and processing deadlines to help ensure timely case follow-up.<br>• Investigate inconsistencies in submitted information and respond to applicant questions with professionalism and prompt attention.
<p>• At least 2 years of experience in administrative support, eligibility review, or a related office-based role.</p><p>• Demonstrated ability to perform data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.</p><p>• Experience handling inbound calls and assisting individuals in a detail-focused and service-oriented manner.</p><p>• Familiarity with administrative office procedures, recordkeeping, and document management practices.</p><p>• Ability to review forms and verification documents carefully and apply established guidelines consistently.</p><p>• Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining status updates and required follow-up actions.</p><p>• Ability to manage confidential information responsibly and maintain privacy standards.</p><p>• Proficiency using databases, case management systems, and standard office software.</p><p><br></p><p>Please contact Robert Half at 209.554.0521 for immediate consideration.</p>
