We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to support and enhance enterprise network operations in Manassas, Virginia. This Long-term Contract position focuses on maintaining secure, reliable connectivity across critical infrastructure while contributing to ongoing improvements in routing, firewall administration, and switching environments. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on knowledge of Cisco networking technologies, Palo Alto security platforms, and Aruba solutions to help deliver stable and well-managed network performance. Responsibilities: • Manage and optimize network infrastructure that includes Cisco routing technologies, enterprise switching, and perimeter security platforms. • Administer Palo Alto firewalls and use Strata Cloud Manager to monitor performance, enforce security policies, and support ongoing operational needs. • Configure and support Aruba switching environments while leveraging Aruba Central for visibility, device management, and issue resolution. • Maintain and troubleshoot Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) configurations to ensure dependable routing and external connectivity. • Support Cisco ASA firewall environments by applying configuration updates, reviewing access controls, and resolving network security issues. • Diagnose network incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and service disruption. • Collaborate with technical teams to plan, test, and implement infrastructure changes while maintaining network stability and security. • Create and maintain clear technical documentation for configurations, procedures, diagrams, and support activities.

• Hands-on experience working as a Network Engineer in enterprise or large-scale network environments. • Strong practical knowledge of Cisco routers and core networking principles. • Proven experience administering Palo Alto firewalls, including policy management and security operations. • Familiarity with Strata Cloud Manager for firewall oversight and centralized management. • Experience supporting Aruba switches and using Aruba Central for administration and monitoring. • Solid understanding of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and network routing concepts. • Working knowledge of Cisco ASA firewall configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
