Controller
We are looking for an experienced Controller to join a growing insurance-focused organization in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is ideal for a finance leader who can establish reliable accounting operations, strengthen reporting practices, and build efficient processes in a fast-moving environment. The position will work closely with leadership and cross-functional partners to support expansion, maintain financial accuracy, and develop a high-performing accounting function.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Lead the day-to-day accounting function, ensuring the general ledger remains accurate and financial activities are recorded completely and on time.<br>• Direct the monthly close cycle, coordinating key deadlines and improving procedures to produce timely financial results.<br>• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash activity to support strong financial controls and operational efficiency.<br>• Manage accounting across multiple entities, including intercompany transactions, consolidated reporting, and statutory financial obligations.<br>• Prepare the organization for external audits by maintaining supporting documentation, strengthening controls, and partnering with auditors throughout the review process.<br>• Collaborate with executive leadership, legal, and operational teams to support business planning, new entity setup, and company growth initiatives.<br>• Design and implement scalable accounting workflows, policies, and system configurations that support a rapidly expanding business.<br>• Recruit, mentor, and lead an accounting team focused on accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.<br>• At least 7 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including leadership responsibility.<br>• Strong knowledge of core accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end close management.<br>• Demonstrated success creating accounting processes and financial infrastructure in a growing or evolving organization.<br>• Experience handling multi-entity accounting, consolidations, and intercompany activity.<br>• Strong systems aptitude with the ability to work effectively with technology-driven and automated environments.<br>• Background in insurance, insure-tech, fintech, or another highly regulated industry is highly preferred.
