Human Resources Generalist
We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support a wide range of people operations in an onsite manufacturing setting in Lancaster, California. This Long-term Contract position will play a key role in talent acquisition, employee support, compliance, benefits coordination, and day-to-day HR administration. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, professionalism, and the ability to manage competing priorities while partnering effectively with leaders and employees at all levels.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Partner with department leaders to assess workforce needs, shape hiring approaches, and move open positions through the recruitment process efficiently.<br>• Source and evaluate applicants, maintain active candidate pipelines, coordinate reference checks, and assist with extending employment offers.<br>• Lead onboarding activities for new employees, including orientation coordination and pre-employment screening steps after offer acceptance.<br>• Prepare recurring hiring metrics and recruitment summaries to provide leadership with clear updates on staffing activity and trends.<br>• Maintain HR documentation such as job descriptions, employee status records, and personnel changes including hires, transfers, and separations.<br>• Help uphold compliance with company policies and employment regulations while contributing to policy revisions and employee handbook updates.<br>• Support managers and employees with workplace concerns, offer guidance on employee relations matters, and encourage a respectful team environment.<br>• Administer benefits-related activities, including annual enrollment support, employee communication, and coordination of onsite informational sessions with providers.<br>• Assist with the performance review cycle to help ensure evaluations are completed consistently and aligned with organizational expectations.<br>• Manage workers’ compensation processes by reporting incidents, coordinating with carriers and medical providers, arranging modified duty, and tracking cases through resolution.
• At least 5 years of human resources experience, with a broad background across HR administration, onboarding, compliance, and employee relations.<br>• Bachelor’s degree with substantial HR experience, master’s degree in human resource management with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work background.<br>• Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and the ability to apply them appropriately in hiring and employee matters.<br>• Demonstrated experience handling sensitive workplace issues with sound judgment, discretion, and a high level of confidentiality.<br>• Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple deadlines and adapt quickly to changing business needs.<br>• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact successfully with employees, managers, and leadership teams.<br>• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as familiarity with HRIS tools.<br>• HR certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or a similar credential is preferred.
