Receptionist
We are looking for an experienced and dependable Receptionist to support daily front desk operations for a Contract position in New York. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming environment, managing communications efficiently, and providing administrative support in a banking setting. The role requires strong organization, clear communication, and the ability to handle a variety of office tasks with accuracy and consistency.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Welcome clients, guests, and team members at the front desk while maintaining a courteous and welcoming first impression.<br>• Answer and route incoming calls through a multi-line phone system, ensuring messages are relayed accurately and promptly.<br>• Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting departmental correspondence and distributing items to the appropriate recipients.<br>• Record complete and detailed messages and forward communications to staff members in a timely manner.<br>• Provide administrative assistance such as document preparation, word processing, data entry, and basic online research as needed.<br>• Maintain organized electronic records and support e-filing activities to keep documentation accessible and up to date.<br>• Assist internal teams with overflow clerical work to help keep day-to-day office operations running smoothly.
• Prior experience in a receptionist or front desk support role.<br>• Ability to operate a multi-line switchboard or phone system with confidence and accuracy.<br>• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and general office software.<br>• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to take and forward detailed messages.<br>• Experience handling daily mail, departmental mail distribution, and general office coordination tasks.<br>• Comfortable performing data entry, electronic filing, and other administrative support duties.<br>• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
