We are looking for an experienced Controller to support a portfolio of businesses within a holding company environment in Jensen Beach, Florida. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for a hands-on accounting leader who can strengthen financial operations, guide process consistency, and help a team adapt to more advanced tools and workflows. The successful candidate will bring structure, practical leadership, and a willingness to work closely with day-to-day accounting activities while elevating overall performance.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Lead daily accounting operations across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency in financial activities.<br>• Partner with teams to introduce new financial technology solutions and support adoption across the organization.<br>• Develop clear operating procedures and documentation to standardize accounting and billing practices.<br>• Coach and train a six-person team, helping staff expand their capabilities beyond primarily QuickBooks-based processes.<br>• Oversee accounts payable, billing functions, and related transaction workflows to improve efficiency and control.<br>• Establish practical best practices that strengthen reporting, processing quality, and cross-entity financial coordination.<br>• Provide hands-on support with accounting tasks when needed, stepping in to resolve issues and maintain momentum.<br>• Collaborate with leadership in a private ownership setting and offer reliable financial guidance in a dynamic environment.

• 7+ years of experience in accounting or controllership roles.<br>• Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks and broader accounting operations.<br>• Background managing or supporting accounts payable, billing, and automated billing processes.<br>• Demonstrated ability to create SOPs, improve workflows, and drive efficient processing.<br>• Experience training, mentoring, or upskilling accounting team members.<br>• Comfortable working across multiple businesses or entities within a complex organizational structure.<br>• Advanced degree required.<br>• Experience working with privately held or family-owned businesses is preferred.
