Application Support Engineer
We are looking for an Application Support Engineer to support, enhance, and maintain business-critical applications in Irving, Texas. This role blends technical troubleshooting with hands-on development support, requiring someone who can investigate issues, improve application reliability, and partner effectively with users, project teams, and external vendors. The ideal candidate brings strong experience across application support, testing, documentation, and deployment coordination within a structured software delivery environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Diagnose application issues, perform root cause analysis, and deliver timely resolutions to minimize disruption to business operations.<br>• Support the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of enterprise applications using relevant development tools, frameworks, and scripting technologies.<br>• Partner with business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors to clarify issues, define solutions, and ensure smooth support activities.<br>• Execute and coordinate application testing efforts to validate fixes, confirm performance, and reduce the risk of recurring defects.<br>• Prepare and maintain clear technical documentation covering system behavior, support procedures, known issues, and configuration details.<br>• Assist with release planning, change control, and deployment activities to ensure updates are implemented accurately and with minimal operational impact.<br>• Work within established software development life cycle practices to support application changes from analysis through production readiness.<br>• Monitor application performance and stability, identifying opportunities for improvement in reliability, security, and supportability.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.<br>• At least 3 years of experience in application development, support, or implementation work.<br>• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and familiarity with application data troubleshooting.<br>• Working knowledge of one or more relevant technologies such as Angular, React, C#, VB.NET, Visual Studio, PowerShell, Salesforce, or .NET.<br>• Experience with software development life cycle processes, including testing, issue tracking, and release support.<br>• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability, with a structured approach to diagnosing technical issues.<br>• Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.<br>• Banking industry experience and knowledge of financial products, payment systems, SharePoint administration, UiPath development, or application security practices are preferred.
