We are looking for a highly skilled Category Analyst to join our team in Irvine, California. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to combine data analysis expertise with sales support functions in a dynamic environment. As a Contract-to-permanent position, this role offers the potential for long-term growth within the organization.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Analyze and maintain sales data, including customer and market performance metrics, to support decision-making.<br>• Collaborate with sales teams to develop accurate projections and ensure data integrity.<br>• Create comprehensive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights for senior management.<br>• Identify and address inconsistencies or missing data by working directly with sales representatives.<br>• Forecast industry trends and sales potential using historical and current data.<br>• Conduct thorough research on market dynamics to inform pricing strategies and category management.<br>• Present detailed sales performance reports and recommendations to stakeholders on a regular basis.<br>• Optimize sales activities by identifying areas for improvement and implementing data-driven solutions.<br>• Utilize tools like Salesforce and Microsoft Excel to streamline data reporting and analysis processes.

<p>• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business, Statistics, or a related discipline.</p><p>• Proven experience in the consumer goods industry, particularly food or grocery sectors.</p><p>• Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas.</p><p>• Strong analytical skills with the ability to forecast trends and interpret complex data sets.</p><p>• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with remote sales teams and stakeholders.</p><p>• Ability to create and present dashboards and reports using visualization tools.</p><p>• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on ensuring data accuracy and quality.</p><p>• Experience in category management and pricing strategy development.</p>
