We are looking for a Python Developer to join a collaborative engineering team in Greer, South Carolina on a contract basis with the potential for a permanent role. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the design and development of modern software solutions that support a loan origination environment. You will work closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional partners to build scalable applications and intelligent automation capabilities. This position is well suited for someone who enjoys hands-on development, problem-solving, and creating high-quality systems from the ground up.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications that support core lending and origination workflows.<br>• Partner with engineers, product stakeholders, and other cross-functional team members to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.<br>• Contribute to the modernization of platform capabilities by building new services and enhancing existing application components.<br>• Create clean, efficient, and testable code while following sound software engineering and architecture practices.<br>• Support the development of automation and agent-driven functionality to improve system performance and user experience.<br>• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and solution design sessions with senior and peer developers.<br>• Collaborate with frontend and backend team members to deliver integrated features across the application stack.<br>• Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement reliable fixes in a timely manner.

• Experience developing software with Python in a production environment.<br>• Ability to contribute to application design, coding, testing, and ongoing enhancement efforts.<br>• Experience working within cross-functional software development teams.<br>• Strong understanding of backend development concepts, code quality practices, and debugging techniques.<br>• Effective communication skills with the ability to explain technical decisions and collaborate during interviews and team discussions.<br>• Familiarity with Microsoft development technologies such as .NET, C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, and .NET Framework is preferred.<br>• Comfortable working in an environment that includes both senior engineers and entry-level to mid-level contributors.
