<p>Our client, a well-established industrial organization in the Greer, SC area is seeking a Buyer to support the sourcing of specialized metal components used in demanding manufacturing environments.</p><p><br></p><p>This role is best suited for someone with direct experience purchasing <strong>fasteners, hardware, precision metal components, or similar engineered parts</strong>. Experience supporting automotive or other highly regulated manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What you’ll be doing</strong></p><ul><li>Source and purchase engineered components from domestic and international suppliers</li><li>Request, evaluate, and compare supplier quotations</li><li>Negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms</li><li>Place purchase orders for new and existing materials</li><li>Support cost-reduction and supplier-development initiatives</li><li>Work closely with internal teams to ensure material availability and supplier performance</li><li>Review technical requirements and drawings as part of the sourcing process</li></ul><p><strong>What we’re looking for</strong></p><ul><li>2+ years of purchasing, sourcing, or buyer experience involving fasteners, hardware, or engineered metal parts</li><li>Experience in automotive, industrial manufacturing, aerospace, or another quality-driven environment</li><li>Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications</li><li>Exposure to industry standards and part specifications</li><li>Experience working within an ERP or MRP environment</li><li>Strong supplier negotiation and communication skills</li><li>Comfortable managing multiple sourcing priorities in a fast-paced environment</li></ul><p><strong>Highly desirable</strong></p><ul><li>Direct experience purchasing nuts, bolts, screws, rivets, threaded components, or related fastening products</li><li>Experience supporting automotive OEM or supplier environments</li><li>Experience sourcing new components from drawing or specification</li></ul><p><br></p>
