Controller
<p>We are looking for an experienced Controller to support a growing organization in Kentwood, Michigan through a Long-term Contract engagement. This role will oversee core accounting leadership activities, strengthen financial controls, and provide guidance during acquisition-related integration work. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in controllership, hands-on experience with NetSuite and QuickBooks Desktop, and the ability to manage complex financial environments with accuracy and consistency.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Support acquisition and post-acquisition integration efforts by aligning financial processes, reporting structures, and accounting practices across entities.</p><p>• Partner with leadership to evaluate financial impacts related to acquisitions and provide clear reporting and analysis to support decision-making.</p><p>• Manage and optimize NetSuite usage, including coordination of system enhancements, reporting improvements, and development-related support where needed.</p><p>• Maintain and leverage QuickBooks Desktop knowledge to review legacy records, validate data, and assist with financial continuity across systems and entities.</p><p>• Identify process improvement opportunities within accounting operations and implement practical solutions that increase efficiency and strengthen compliance.</p>
• Proven experience serving in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role.<br>• Strong background in controllership functions, including close management, financial reporting, and internal control oversight.<br>• Demonstrated experience supporting acquisitions and acquisition integration from an accounting or finance perspective.<br>• Hands-on proficiency with NetSuite, including reporting, system utilization, and development-related coordination.<br>• Working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and its use in financial record management.<br>• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex, evolving business environment.<br>• High level of accuracy, sound judgment, and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
