This position combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic thinking to deliver secure, scalable solutions while ensuring system performance and reliability. The role offers a mix of remote flexibility and on-site collaboration based on project needs.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Design and implement end-to-end infrastructure solutions spanning on-premise environments and cloud platforms</li><li>Troubleshoot complex network and system issues to ensure optimal uptime and performance</li><li>Configure and maintain network security measures to safeguard systems and data</li><li>Administer and support virtualization, networking, and cloud-based environments</li><li>Document technical processes, configurations, and user guides for ongoing operational clarity</li><li>Collaborate with internal teams and clients to deliver tailored technical solutions</li><li>Provide mentorship and guidance to junior-level engineers and team members</li><li>Manage multiple priorities and projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail</li></ul><p><strong>Compensation &amp; Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>$110,000 – $125,000</li><li>401(k) with employer match (up to 6% at 50%)</li><li>Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage</li><li>Generous paid time off accrual</li><li>$5,000 annual professional development and continuing education allowance</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Details</strong></p><ul><li>Hybrid work model with flexibility to work remotely when not required on-site</li><li>On-site presence required for client engagements and project-specific needs</li><li>Collaborative, client-facing role with opportunities for growth and advancement</li><li>2 open roles: one based in Santa Barbara and the other based in Ventura</li></ul>

<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>5+ years of experience as a Network and/or Systems Engineer</li><li>Strong expertise in infrastructure technologies, including networking, virtualization, security, and cloud services</li><li>Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and deliver effective solutions</li><li>Experience managing and prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills</li><li>Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail</li><li>Effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)</strong></p><ul><li>Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft, AWS, or similar)</li><li>Experience working in a consulting or client-facing environment</li><li>Exposure to a broad range of IT environments and architectures</li></ul>
