<p>Our fast-growing client looking for a skilled <strong>Controller </strong>to join their team in <strong>Gallatin</strong>, Tennessee. This hybrid position requires one onsite workday per week and offers an excellent opportunity to grow professionally in the construction industry. As a <strong>Contract to permanent </strong>role, this position is ideal for candidates seeking long-term career development. The position requires moderate <strong>overnight travel </strong>within the state of Tennessee.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Oversee and manage all aspects of accounting operations, including <strong>revenue recognition</strong> and financial reporting.</p><p>• Prepare quarterly financial reports and submit them to corporate leadership.</p><p>• Maintain and enforce strong <strong>internal controls</strong> to ensure<strong> SOX</strong> compliance and accuracy.</p><p>• Utilize accounting software such as ViewPoint and QuickBooks to streamline processes and improve efficiency.</p><p>• Lead <strong>month-end close</strong> procedures, ensuring timely and accurate completion.</p><p>• Conduct detailed financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.</p><p>• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of accounting practices.</p><p>• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to accounting systems and processes.</p><p>• Apply knowledge of construction accounting to manage industry-specific financial tasks.</p><p>• <strong>Support audits </strong>and ensure timely responses to inquiries and documentation requests.</p>

<p>• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.</p><p>• CPA or CMA, even if inactive, would be preferred.</p><p>• 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting roles, preferably within the <strong>construction industry</strong>.</p><p>• Proficiency in ViewPoint and QuickBooks software would be helpful.</p><p>• Strong intermediate-level Excel skills and ability to adapt to new technologies.</p><p>• Familiarity with <strong>revenue recognition principles in construction </strong>and financial reporting standards.</p><p>• Solid understanding of internal controls and their application in accounting.</p><p>• <strong>Public accounting experience</strong> is highly <strong>preferred</strong>.</p><p>• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.</p>
