We are looking for an experienced Controller to support a manufacturing-focused organization on a contract-to-permanent basis. This role is ideal for a hands-on finance leader who combines strong technical accounting knowledge with the ability to advise, coach, and strengthen financial operations in a short-term consulting environment. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise across core accounting functions while helping internal stakeholders build confidence in financial processes and system usage.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Lead month-end and period-end close activities, ensuring financial results are accurate, timely, and well supported.<br>• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to maintain the integrity of financial records.<br>• Manage finance-related tax activities, including payroll tax oversight and compliance with reporting obligations.<br>• Provide guidance on retirement plan administration matters, including support related to 401(k) processes and financial coordination.<br>• Serve as a trusted advisor to internal teams by sharing best practices across accounting operations and financial controls.<br>• Deliver training and practical instruction to staff on the organization’s manufacturing accounting system or a comparable ERP platform used in production environments.<br>• Review existing accounting workflows and recommend improvements that increase consistency, visibility, and operational effectiveness.<br>• Partner with leadership to address short-term financial priorities while creating a foundation for longer-term stability in the role.
