Controller
<p>We are looking for a Controller to lead financial operations and provide strong business partnership for a manufacturing environment. This role will oversee core accounting activities, strengthen reporting accuracy, and deliver insights that support planning, pricing, and operational decision-making. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in cost accounting, inventory, and compliance, along with the ability to guide process improvements and develop a high-performing finance team.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Lead the monthly close cycle and ensure financial statements and management reports are completed accurately and on schedule.</p><p>• Establish and enhance accounting controls and financial governance practices that protect company assets and support reliable reporting.</p><p>• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial analyses to help leadership evaluate performance and plan for future growth.</p><p>• Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders by translating financial results into clear presentations, actionable metrics, and performance insights.</p><p>• Support pricing strategy and proposal development while ensuring alignment with applicable government contracting standards and requirements.</p><p>• Work closely with leaders across departments to maintain compliance with relevant federal, state, and local regulations.</p><p>• Drive cost improvement efforts by identifying efficiency opportunities, analyzing spending patterns, and supporting value-focused operational initiatives.</p><p>• Partner with technology teams to improve financial visibility through workflow automation, data warehousing, and business intelligence solutions.</p><p>• Mentor and develop the finance team by setting clear expectations, encouraging accountability, and supporting career growth.</p><p>• Oversee manufacturing finance activities such as standard costing, inventory accounting, overhead rate analysis, and variance review to improve business performance.</p><p><br></p><p>The salary range for this position is $175,000 to $225,000 + discretionary bonus.</p><p><br></p><p>Benefits:</p><p>Medical/Dental/Vision</p><p>STD/LTD</p><p>Life and AD&amp;D insurance</p><p>401k with match</p><p>3 weeks PTO</p><p>12 paid holidays</p><p>1 week sick time</p>
• Proven experience in a Controller or senior finance leadership role within a manufacturing environment.<br>• Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, overhead structures, and variance analysis.<br>• Demonstrated ability to manage month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.<br>• Familiarity with pricing, proposal support, and compliance requirements related to government contracting.<br>• Solid understanding of internal controls, regulatory compliance, and financial risk management.<br>• Experience improving financial processes through automation, reporting tools, or business intelligence platforms.<br>• Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to operational and executive stakeholders.<br>• Track record of leading, coaching, and developing accounting or finance teams.
