We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead financial oversight and help guide business performance in El Cajon, California. This role is responsible for shaping budgets, forecasts, and reporting while delivering clear financial insight to senior leadership. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical accounting knowledge with strategic perspective to strengthen controls, support growth initiatives, and protect the organization’s financial health.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Direct the company’s budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to support informed business decisions and measurable performance improvement.<br>• Analyze operating results and financial trends, translating findings into practical recommendations for executives and key stakeholders.<br>• Monitor cash position, liquidity needs, and capital allocation to help maintain stability and support planned investments.<br>• Lead the preparation of accurate financial reports, oversee audit coordination, and ensure compliance with required disclosures and reporting standards.<br>• Manage lender communications, recurring financial submissions, and adherence to borrowing agreements and covenant obligations.<br>• Establish, maintain, and improve financial policies, internal controls, and accountability practices that promote accuracy and transparency.<br>• Oversee treasury operations, including banking relationships, cash forecasting, and risk-focused financial safeguards.<br>• Partner with leadership on acquisitions, expansion efforts, and broader strategic initiatives that drive long-term enterprise value.<br>• Provide direction, mentorship, and oversight to the accounting team while contributing to board-level reporting and governance support.

• 5+ years of experience in a Controller or senior-level finance and accounting leadership role.<br>• Strong background in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.<br>• Demonstrated knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, audit coordination, and regulatory compliance.<br>• Experience managing cash flow, treasury activities, banking relationships, and debt covenant reporting.<br>• Ability to evaluate business performance and present actionable financial guidance to executives and stakeholders.<br>• Proven leadership experience in developing accounting teams and improving finance operations.<br>• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced credentials are a plus.
