Lead Identity Engineer
<p><strong>Overview</strong></p><p>Our client is hiring a <strong>Lead Identity Engineer</strong> to own and scale enterprise identity and access management capabilities. This role will lead the design and implementation of modern identity solutions across authentication, authorization, and directory services, with a strong focus on Okta and Zero Trust initiatives.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Lead design and implementation of enterprise identity solutions (authentication, authorization, directory services)</li><li>Build and support <strong>SSO, MFA, Adaptive MFA, and passwordless authentication</strong> solutions</li><li>Manage and optimize <strong>Okta</strong>, including administration and workflow development</li><li>Design and maintain <strong>Universal Directory</strong>, identity lifecycle processes (Joiner/Mover/Leaver), and governance controls</li><li>Develop and maintain <strong>SCIM integrations</strong> and identity provisioning automation</li><li>Implement and support <strong>OIDC and SAML-based authentication flows</strong></li><li>Automate identity tooling and processes using <strong>Python and PowerShell</strong></li><li>Contribute to and support <strong>Zero Trust security initiatives</strong></li><li>Partner with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers</li><li>Maintain clear documentation and support operational excellence</li></ul><p><strong>*Please note: </strong>This position is onsite Monday-Friday in Johns Creek, GA. <p><strong>Required Skills & Experience</strong></p><ul><li>5+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM)</li><li>Expert-level experience with <strong>Okta administration and Okta Workflows</strong></li><li>Strong experience with <strong>identity lifecycle management</strong> (JML, provisioning, deprovisioning)</li><li>Hands-on experience with <strong>SSO, MFA, Adaptive MFA</strong>, and passwordless authentication</li><li>Strong understanding of <strong>authentication standards (OIDC, SAML)</strong></li><li>Experience building automation using <strong>Python or PowerShell</strong></li><li>Familiarity with <strong>RBAC/ABAC models</strong> and identity governance practices</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with <strong>Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID</strong></li><li>Exposure to <strong>AWS IAM and/or GCP IAM</strong></li><li>Experience working in cloud-first or hybrid environments</li></ul><p><strong>Education</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field (preferred)</li></ul><p><strong>Soft Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Strong communication skills and ability to work with technical and business stakeholders</li><li>Proven leadership and mentoring capability</li><li>Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills</li><li>Ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments</li><li>Strong documentation and organizational skills</li></ul><p><strong>*Please note: </strong>This position is onsite Monday-Friday in Johns Creek, GA.
