AP Supervisor
We are looking for an experienced AP Supervisor to lead the accounts payable function for our team in Dover, Delaware. This role is responsible for guiding daily payment operations, strengthening process accuracy, and ensuring obligations are completed on schedule. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills, hands-on knowledge of invoice processing and electronic payments, and a consistent focus on compliance and financial integrity.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Lead day-to-day accounts payable operations, ensuring invoices are reviewed, coded, and processed accurately within established deadlines.<br>• Supervise and support AP staff, assign priorities, and provide coaching to maintain a productive and detail-oriented team.<br>• Oversee payment execution through check runs and ACH transactions while confirming proper approvals and documentation are in place.<br>• Monitor vendor balances and resolve invoice, payment, and statement discrepancies in a timely manner.<br>• Maintain effective internal controls across the AP cycle to support audit readiness and policy compliance.<br>• Partner with accounting and finance teams to contribute accurate payables data for month-end close and financial reporting.<br>• Review workflows and recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and service levels.<br>• Ensure records are organized and retained appropriately to meet company and regulatory requirements.
<p>• 5+ years of experience in accounts payable, including leadership or supervisory responsibility.</p><p>• Strong working knowledge of invoice coding, payment processing, check runs, and ACH transactions.</p><p>• Demonstrated ability to oversee high-volume AP activity with strong accuracy and attention to detail.</p><p>• Experience applying internal controls and supporting compliance within financial operations.</p><p>• Proficiency with accounting systems and standard office software used in accounts payable environments.</p><p>• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and work with vendors professionally.</p><p>• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.</p><p><br></p><p>Please reach out to Dan Masununugure via LinkedIn if interested in this AP Supervisor role.</p>
