Software Developer
We are looking for a Software Developer to join a finance organization in Denver, Colorado in a contract capacity with the potential to become permanent. This opportunity is suited to an experienced, detail-oriented individual who enjoys creating reliable applications, improving technical workflows with AI-assisted development tools, and contributing across both cloud-based and established systems. The role will involve hands-on engineering, integration work, and collaboration on efforts that strengthen and modernize core business technology.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Design, build, and maintain software solutions using C#, .NET technologies, and related development tools to support business needs.<br>• Create and enhance integrations between applications, databases, and other business systems to ensure dependable data flow and functionality.<br>• Troubleshoot application issues, investigate root causes, and implement durable fixes across both modern platforms and legacy environments.<br>• Contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle, including technical design, coding, testing, deployment, and post-release support.<br>• Use SQL Server, ETL processes, and scripting tools such as PowerShell to manage data movement, automation, and operational efficiency.<br>• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver enhancements that align with business priorities in a regulated financial environment.<br>• Support cloud-focused development initiatives in Azure or similar public cloud environments while helping improve scalability and maintainability.<br>• Apply AI-enabled engineering tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologies to accelerate development and improve productivity.<br>• Assist with SaaS implementations, data migration activities, and system modernization efforts while maintaining continuity for critical applications.
• 5+ years of software development experience.<br>• Hands-on expertise with C#, .NET Framework and .NET Core/.NET, SQL Server, and PowerShell.<br>• Experience building integrations between enterprise applications, databases, and data processing workflows.<br>• Familiarity with ETL concepts, data migration work, and software delivery across the full development lifecycle.<br>• Knowledge of Azure or other public cloud environments used for application development and deployment.<br>• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving capabilities.<br>• Ability to work effectively across both legacy systems and modern technology stacks.<br>• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and exposure to financial services or other regulated industries is preferred.
