<p>Tammy Power with Robert Half is looking for a dedicated and experienced Controller to oversee the accounting and financial operations of a well-established organization in the agriculture and food production industry. This role offers the opportunity to lead a dynamic team, manage multi-entity accounting processes, and provide valuable financial insights to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, seasonal environment and is passionate about driving operational excellence.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, fixed assets, and inventory accounting.</p><p>• Supervise the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring the preparation of accurate and compliant financial statements.</p><p>• Develop and maintain cost accounting systems aligned with farming, harvesting, and processing activities.</p><p>• Collaborate with operational teams to analyze production costs, yield performance, labor utilization, and other key financial metrics.</p><p>• Oversee the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing forecasting to support financial planning.</p><p>• Implement and enhance internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial systems to ensure efficiency and compliance.</p><p>• Coordinate and support audits, manage banking relationships, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.</p><p>• Mentor and lead the accounting team, fostering attention to detail and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.</p>

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.<br>• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with preference for backgrounds in agriculture, food production, or manufacturing.<br>• Strong expertise in cost accounting and multi-entity financial management.<br>• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial systems.<br>• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both operational and executive teams.<br>• Proven leadership abilities, with experience in team development and mentorship.<br>• Solid understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.<br>• Familiarity with agricultural cost structures, crop costing, or seasonal labor models is highly desirable.
