We are seeking a talented and experienced Controller to join a dynamic team in the construction industry, based in Corona, California. Responsibilities: • Oversee daily accounting tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll functions.• Protect company assets and ensure adherence to financial regulations and policies by developing and maintaining internal controls.• Promote operational efficiency by conducting regular financial reviews and audits to identify areas for improvement.• Work with the leadership team to develop and implement financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts that support the company's growth objectives.• Ensure the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, including the preparation and review of journal entries, bank reconciliations, and financial statements.• Handle the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring the completion of all necessary financial reporting and analysis.• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budget variances, and other financial reports, providing valuable insights and recommendations to management.• Interact with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies as needed to ensure compliance with auditing and tax requirements.• Guide and mentor an accounting team, providing guidance, training, and support to promote detail-oriented growth and productivity.• Utilize your knowledge of construction, financial statements, and the Sage 300 software, to enhance work efficiency and accuracy.

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting / finance - related field • 7+ years of experience in accounting • Applicant must possess knowledge in the construction industry. • Proficiency in developing and analyzing financial statements is required. • Experience in managing WIP - Work In Progress is crucial. • Must be well-versed in the use of Sage 300 software for business management.
