Key Responsibilities • Assist in managing monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes • Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules • Prepare and maintain project proformas and perform profit reconciliations • Assist in preparation of financial projections • Ensure GAAP compliance across multiple related entities • Support lender reporting and annual external audits • Oversee land development and construction job cost accounting • Monitor capitalization of project costs and related expense recognition • Develop and maintain project budgets • Perform budget-to-actual and cost-to-complete analyses • Partner with operations to ensure accurate cost tracking and forecasting • Support tracking of infrastructure costs eligible for reimbursement • Utilize ERP systems to improve consistency, accuracy, and efficiency in financial reporting • Strong preference for experience with Newstar Constellation Systems • If no Newstar experience, prior experience with another construction/homebuilding ERP is required • Advanced Excel modeling and financial analysis • Manage complex intercompany transactions and shared cost allocations • Assist in strengthening internal controls and accounting procedures • Participate in process improvement initiatives Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance • 2-5 years of public accounting experience focused on audit and review engagements • Prior homebuilding or construction accounting experience (required) • Experience with land development and construction accounting, job costing, and developing project budgets (required) • Strong technical knowledge of GAAP • Possess exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills • Advanced Excel proficiency • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively in a deadline driven environment Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Newstar Constellation Systems • CPA (active or inactive) • Experience working in a multi-entity or intercompany environment • Exposure to Community Facilities District (CFD) cost tracking and municipal reporting processes
