Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for a Senior Accountant to support our established, rapidly growing remote sports media organization. This is a 3+ month remote consulting engagement designed for an experienced Senior Accountant who thrives in dynamic, startup environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative and operational ownership, contributing directly to the company’s end-to-end accounting operations. Responsibilities:• Manage and enhance the monthly close process to ensure accuracy and timeliness.• Perform comprehensive monthly account reconciliations and deliver support to external accounting consultants.• Administer payroll for employees and contractors using Rippling to ensure smooth operations.• Supervise accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance.• Prepare and post journal entries in QuickBooks to maintain accurate financial records.• Organize and maintain financial documentation to ensure compliance with regulations.• Assist with financial planning and ad hoc reporting projects to support business decision-making.• Contribute to the development of management reporting and FP&A initiatives.• Adapt to evolving systems and processes, ensuring operational effectiveness.

• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with preference for experience in media, technology, sports, or entertainment industries.• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Bill.com, and payroll systems such as Rippling.• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.• Effective communication skills with the ability to work independently.• Ability to adapt quickly to changing systems and procedures.• Interest in expanding knowledge of financial planning and analysis (FP&A).• Based in or near greater Los Angeles, with availability for occasional on-site work.
