This role focuses on securing materials, equipment, and supplies that support active projects while balancing budget expectations, quality standards, and delivery timelines. Please call Brigitte Mendez @ 909-717-4037 or call your Robert Half Recruiter.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Source construction materials, equipment, and jobsite supplies based on project scope, technical requirements, and budget targets.</p><p>• Build and maintain productive partnerships with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to support reliable pricing and service.</p><p>• Request, compare, and assess quotations from multiple vendors, then negotiate favorable costs, payment terms, and delivery commitments.</p><p>• Prepare and release purchase orders while monitoring order progress to help ensure materials arrive when needed.</p><p>• Work closely with project managers, estimators, and field personnel to anticipate purchasing demand and align procurement with project schedules.</p><p>• Review stock levels and coordinate replenishment activities to avoid shortages or unnecessary excess inventory.</p><p>• Evaluate purchasing trends and supplier performance to uncover savings opportunities and improve procurement efficiency.</p><p>• Ensure all purchasing activity follows company guidelines, contractual obligations, and applicable safety and compliance standards.</p><p>• Maintain complete and accurate procurement records, reports, and documentation, including updates within Excel and Salesforce.</p>

• 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably within construction or a contractor-driven environment.<br>• Demonstrated ability to buy materials, equipment, and supplies for project-based operations.<br>• Strong background in vendor sourcing, bid evaluation, and contract or pricing negotiation.<br>• Experience creating and managing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and resolving supply issues proactively.<br>• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Salesforce for reporting, documentation, and purchasing workflow management.<br>• Solid understanding of cost control practices, inventory awareness, and schedule-driven procurement planning.<br>• Effective communication and coordination skills with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors.
