<p>We are looking for an experienced Senior Project / Program Manager to lead complex technology initiatives in Chicago, IL. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who can guide cross-functional teams, keep programs aligned with business goals, and drive delivery through structured project leadership. The role requires strong knowledge of Agile Scrum practices, effective stakeholder coordination, and hands-on experience using Jira to maintain visibility across timelines, risks, and milestones.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Direct large-scale IT projects and programs from planning through execution, ensuring objectives, schedules, and deliverables remain on track.</p><p>• Partner with business leaders, technical teams, and external stakeholders to define priorities, resolve obstacles, and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.</p><p>• Apply Agile Scrum methods to organize work, support team collaboration, and promote consistent progress across multiple initiatives.</p><p>• Build and maintain detailed project plans, status reporting, risk registers, and governance updates to support informed decision-making.</p><p>• Use Atlassian Jira to manage backlogs, monitor task progression, and provide accurate visibility into team performance and milestone completion.</p><p>• Facilitate meetings such as sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and steering discussions to keep teams aligned and accountable.</p><p>• Identify project risks, dependencies, and resource constraints early, then develop practical mitigation strategies to reduce delivery impact.</p><p>• Oversee program coordination across concurrent workstreams and ensure outcomes meet quality expectations and business requirements.</p>

• Proven experience managing enterprise-level IT projects or programs in a senior project management capacity.<br>• Strong working knowledge of Agile Scrum principles and the ability to apply them in complex delivery environments.<br>• PMP certification required.<br>• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities across multiple initiatives.<br>• Hands-on experience with Atlassian Jira for project tracking, workflow management, and reporting.<br>• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.<br>• Solid understanding of project governance, risk management, budgeting, and delivery oversight.
