This position provides an opportunity to contribute to the success of various projects while developing leads and maintaining strong client relationships.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Someone with asphalt paving and construction experience is a plus!!</u></strong></p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Analyze project specifications and requirements to develop detailed cost estimates.</p><p>• Prepare budgets and forecasts to ensure financial accuracy for construction projects.</p><p>• Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to align estimates with project goals.</p><p>• Utilize Microsoft Office tools to organize and present cost data effectively.</p><p>• Generate leads from company-provided resources while proactively seeking additional opportunities through cold calling.</p><p>• Collaborate with clients and vendors to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.</p><p>• Monitor ongoing projects to ensure adherence to budget and timeline constraints.</p><p>• Assist in the preparation of progress reports and documentation for stakeholders.</p><p>• Communicate effectively with team members and clients to address project-related concerns.</p>

Senior Financial Accounting Analyst

  • <p>This company is located in the western suburbs near Oak Brook, IL; however, the opportunity is fully remote.</p><p><br></p><p>The Senior Financial Accounting Analyst will be primarily responsible for budgets and variance analysis, month-end closing, and reporting monthly and annual financial results. </p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities include:</p><p>•Support the Business Unit's financial operations by providing timely and accurate reporting and business analysis that will be used to better enable the division to grow the profitability of the business line</p><p>•Prepare and coordinate budgets, business plans and forecasts</p><p>•Be the SAP business process owner for the PS (Project Systems) module</p><p>•Coordinate finance activities for month end, year-end, etc.</p><p>•Apply appropriate revenue recognition to the projects</p><p>•Analyze trends and data used in preparing forecasts of expenses and cash flows for the division</p><p>•Review and analyze financial results and variances from budget and make suggestions for improvements or cost savings</p><p>•Review and investigate general ledger information and provide appropriate charge numbers</p><p>•Provide both month-to-month financial data and trends and explain financial processes to engineering staff</p><p>•Assist in the preparation of business cases for fixed asset acquisitions</p><p>•Assist in financial presentations for Divisional office</p><p>•Prepare costing and billing analysis for CEO department manager presentations. </p><p>•Other duties as required</p><p><br></p><p>Qualifications/Requirements:</p><p><br></p><p>•Bachelor's Degree in business, finance or accounting</p><p>•CPA Designation preferred</p><p>•Strong US GAAP knowledge </p><p> Knowledge of Canadian GAAP a plus </p><p>•A minimum of 5-7 years of experience at a senior level in an accounting department.</p><p>•Advanced knowledge/experience working with SAP is required (PS, SD, FICO)</p><p>•Requires a strong knowledge of accounting, finance and economics</p><p>•Requires knowledge of business systems, controls and reporting systems</p><p>•Requires experience in budgeting, accounting policies and procedures, systems and costing</p><p>•Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills</p><p>•High degree of attention to detail and ability to self-check work required.</p><p>•Ability to handle multiple priorities with attention to detail and an ability to work independently</p><p>•Proven ability to respond within short time constraints and meet deadlines, while maintaining accuracy</p><p>•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel</p>
