HR Generalist
We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a healthcare-focused organization by providing comprehensive HR support across various functions. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive workplace environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Administer health and welfare benefits programs, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and resolving employee concerns.<br>• Oversee retirement plan activities, including enrollments, updates, compliance testing, and audits.<br>• Manage leave of absence processes, including FMLA, disability, and personal leave, while maintaining accurate records and communicating with employees and managers.<br>• Handle workers’ compensation claims, coordinate with insurance providers, and support return-to-work initiatives.<br>• Respond to unemployment claims and represent the organization during hearings when necessary.<br>• Facilitate full-cycle recruitment, including posting job openings, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and issuing offer letters.<br>• Conduct onboarding and orientation for new hires to ensure a seamless transition into the organization.<br>• Maintain employee records with a focus on confidentiality and accuracy, while preparing reports as needed.<br>• Assist with employee relations, performance management, and interpretation of company policies.<br>• Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, as well as internal policies and procedures.
• At least 5 years of HR experience, including expertise in benefits administration, leave management, and recruiting.<br>• Strong understanding of federal and state employment regulations, such as FMLA and ADA.<br>• Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.<br>• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.<br>• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.<br>• Experience managing workers’ compensation and unemployment claims.<br>• Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now or similar HR systems.<br>• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, along with relevant HR certifications (e.g., PHR or SHRM-CP).
