Customer Service Representative
We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to support a machinery manufacturing operation in Charlotte, North Carolina. This Contract position is ideal for someone who brings a strong service mindset, communicates clearly, and can manage customer inquiries and order-related tasks in a fast-paced environment. The role will work closely with internal teams and external customers to ensure accurate information, timely responses, and a positive service experience.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Respond to inbound customer inquiries by phone and email, providing timely and detail-focused support for product, order, and service-related questions.<br>• Process customer orders and update order details accurately while coordinating with internal departments to help maintain smooth fulfillment activities.<br>• Handle both incoming and outgoing communication to resolve service issues, confirm information, and keep customers informed of next steps.<br>• Build productive working relationships with customers and cross-functional team members to support a high standard of service.<br>• Monitor order activity, inventory-related updates, and distribution details to help address delays, discrepancies, or customer concerns.<br>• Document interactions, requests, and resolutions thoroughly using Microsoft Office and other business systems to maintain accurate records.<br>• Identify service challenges proactively and take practical steps to resolve issues efficiently while escalating complex matters when needed.<br>• Support daily operational tasks in a structured manner, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
• At least 2 years of experience in a customer service role.<br>• Background in call center support, including handling inbound calls and customer inquiries, is strongly preferred.<br>• Experience with order entry and customer account support in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred.<br>• Familiarity with inventory control, distribution, supply chain, or logistics processes is an advantage.<br>• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both internal teams and external customers.<br>• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for communication, documentation, and routine administrative tasks.<br>• Demonstrated ability to stay organized, build rapport quickly, and approach problems with confidence and professionalism.
