We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to support accounting operations and financial oversight for a Long-term Contract position based in Centennial, Colorado. This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, guiding close activities, and strengthening reporting across a multi-entity environment. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in construction accounting, thrives in a hands-on setting, and can partner effectively with senior finance leadership and internal stakeholders.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Direct monthly and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial results.<br>• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by reviewing entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation across multiple entities.<br>• Prepare internal and external financial reports, including consolidated statements and analysis for leadership review.<br>• Oversee intercompany accounting processes, resolve balance discrepancies, and manage elimination entries during consolidation.<br>• Support financial statement audits by organizing schedules, responding to auditor requests, and coordinating required documentation.<br>• Apply construction accounting knowledge to monitor project-related financial activity and ensure proper treatment of costs and revenue.<br>• Use Viewpoint Vista and Microsoft Excel to analyze data, improve reporting accuracy, and streamline accounting workflows.<br>• Partner with the Controller and senior finance team on special projects, including process enhancements and accounting-related operational changes.

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including work in an Assistant Controller, Controller, or senior accounting capacity.<br>• Strong command of month-end close, general ledger management, and financial reporting processes.<br>• Experience with financial statement audits and the preparation of supporting schedules and reconciliations.<br>• Demonstrated expertise in intercompany accounting, eliminations, and multi-entity consolidations.<br>• Background in construction accounting with a solid understanding of industry-specific financial practices.<br>• Proficiency with Viewpoint Vista and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.<br>• Ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and communicate effectively with finance and operational teams.
