SharePoint Administrator (SharePoint Admin)

This position will lead the organization and migration of a large-scale document environment into SharePoint Online, helping create a secure and scalable structure from the ground up. The ideal candidate brings strong Microsoft 365 expertise and can partner with business stakeholders to design access models, organize content, and maintain governance across the platform.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Assess existing shared drive content and document the current file landscape to prepare for a structured migration into SharePoint Online.</p><p>• Design and build a new SharePoint environment, including libraries, folders, and naming conventions that support usability and long-term maintenance.</p><p>• Transfer approximately 2 TB of business data from file shares and related Microsoft 365 sources into SharePoint while preserving content integrity.</p><p>• Collaborate with department leaders to define role-based access needs and translate those needs into practical permission models.</p><p>• Configure security settings so that access is aligned with Active Directory and Entra ID group structures wherever possible.</p><p>• Establish inheritance and permission standards across document libraries and folders to support consistency, control, and governance.</p><p>• Support administration across the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including OneDrive, Teams, and related compliance-focused tools when needed.</p><p>• Use PowerShell and administrative tools to manage configurations, streamline setup tasks, and support migration and platform maintenance activities.</p><p><br></p>
<p>• 5+ years of experience administering SharePoint environments, with a strong focus on enterprise business use cases.</p><p>• Hands-on expertise with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365, including tenant-level administration and document management configuration.</p><p>• Proven experience moving content from legacy file shares into SharePoint environments.</p><p>• Strong understanding of access control, permissions strategy, and governance best practices within SharePoint and Microsoft 365.</p><p>• Working knowledge of Entra ID (Azure AD), OneDrive, Teams, and Microsoft Purview.</p><p>• Experience using PowerShell to support administration, automation, or migration-related tasks.</p><p>• Ability to evaluate legacy folder structures and translate them into clear, secure, and scalable SharePoint designs.</p><p><br></p><p>**** For Faster response on the position, please send a message to Jimmy Escobar on LinkedIn or send an email to Jimmy.Escobar@roberthalf(.com) with your resume.****</p>
