We are looking for a PC Technician to provide hands-on technical support for students, faculty, and staff in a Higher Education environment in Brooklyn, New York. This Contract position focuses on resolving everyday desktop and device issues across both Windows and Mac systems while delivering responsive end-user assistance. The ideal candidate will be comfortable supporting hardware, software, connectivity, and account access needs in a fast-paced campus setting.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Deliver first-line desktop support for end users by diagnosing and resolving common hardware, software, and access-related issues.<br>• Support both Windows and macOS devices, including troubleshooting operating system problems and user-specific technical concerns.<br>• Help users connect to campus Wi-Fi and ensure reliable access to network resources on supported devices.<br>• Assist with the installation and setup of Microsoft Office and other standard applications required for daily use.<br>• Configure and troubleshoot Pharos printing software so users can print successfully from approved workstations and devices.<br>• Perform account support tasks such as password resets, basic account setup, and other routine access requests.<br>• Provide hands-on assistance with computer hardware, peripheral connections, and cable installation as needed.<br>• Support devices and equipment from manufacturers such as Dell and Apple while maintaining a detail-oriented customer service approach.

• Prior experience providing end-user or desktop support in a technical service environment.<br>• Working knowledge of both Windows and Mac operating systems.<br>• Familiarity with computer hardware, associated peripherals, and basic troubleshooting techniques.<br>• Ability to install, configure, and support standard productivity software, including Microsoft Office.<br>• Experience assisting users with wireless connectivity, login issues, and account-related requests.<br>• Comfortable supporting Dell systems, Apple devices, and related hardware components.<br>• Basic understanding of cable installation and physical workstation setup.<br>• Strong communication skills and a service-oriented approach to resolving technical issues.
